Arsenal are reportedly negotiating a new incentive-laden contract with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that could make him the club's joint-top earner, according to The Telegraph's Matt Law.

Aubameyang would apparently earn as much as Mesut Ozil - who pulls in £350,000 a week - if Arsenal qualify for the Champions League next season.

The Gabonese international, who already has two Premier League goals to his name, is currently making £200,000 a week on a contract that expires in June 2021.

Raul Sanllehi's crafty plan comes after a summer of shrewd spending on a limited budget. Arsenal secured the services of Dani Ceballos, Nicolas Pepe, Kieran Tierney, and David Luiz in an attempt to reach the top four. The club began the Premier League season with a perfect two wins out of two.

Aubameyang remains key to that push. The 30-year-old has made a huge impact since his arrival in January 2018, scoring 43 goals in 67 games across all competitions.
