Liverpool eclipsed Manchester City in at least one major category this season.

Despite falling a point short of the Premier League title, the Reds reeled in more broadcast and commercial revenue than any of their peers, boasting a massive £152 million from the 2018-19 campaign.

City followed closely with £150 million, with Chelsea and Tottenham not too far behind.

Liverpool made up the difference by playing three more matches on live TV than City.

Huddersfield - who tied the record for the earliest relegation from the Premier League - rounded out the list with a sizeable £96 million.

The Premier League paid out more than £2.4 billion to its clubs thanks to hefty domestic and international TV deals. The league also earmarked more than £100 million in solidarity payments to the 72 teams in the second, third, and fourth tiers of English football.
