The Premier League confirmed on Thursday that the 2019-20 season will kick off on Aug. 10 for the second consecutive year.

The summer transfer window will also once again shut before the start of the new campaign, with a deadline set for Aug. 8 at 5:00 p.m. BT (11 a.m. ET).

England's transfer window previously ran until Aug. 31, allowing top-flight sides to register new players approximately two weeks into a new season. In September 2017, however, Premier League clubs voted to bump the final day of the summer window up to the Thursday before the start of the new campaign.

Players, though, can still be sold outside the Premier League after the cut-off date, as long as the buying club's transfer window is still open.
