Michy Batshuayi is getting another chance in the Premier League.

The Belgian striker has joined Crystal Palace on a season-long loan, completing a move from Chelsea at the 11th hour of the January transfer window; confirmation of the deal came over an hour after the 6 p.m. ET deadline had passed.

The Eagles don't have an option to purchase Batshuayi outright.

The 25-year-old forward spent the first half of the 2018-19 season on loan at Valencia, but Los Che agreed to end his temporary spell in Spain after a miserable stint in which he scored just one La Liga goal.

Batshuayi's future had been one of the hottest talking points of deadline day, with the likes of West Ham, Real Betis, and Tottenham all linked with the former Marseille standout.

In the end, though, he moved to Selhurst Park, where he'll offer Roy Hodgson a much-needed influx of talent up front; Palace's leading Premier League scorer this season is midfield enforcer Luka Milivojevic, while their underperforming collection of strikers have combined for just one league tally on the campaign.

Batshuayi, who joined Chelsea for £33.2 million in 2016, should be in the squad for Saturday's match against Fulham, according to the BBC's David Ornstein.
