Pep Guardiola has good news for Manchester City fans and bad news for Everton supporters.

Injured stars Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero could both return to action in Saturday's clash with the Toffees at the Etihad Stadium, revealed the Spanish manager on Friday.

"(Aguero) did the last two training sessions," Guardiola told reporters. "On Thursday, he trained with the team. He has no pain and we will decide.

"(With De Bruyne), it is the same case as Sergio - he has no pain but we will see."

De Bruyne has suffered from knee ligament issues, which have restricted him to just 236 minutes of football in all competitions at club level this season. The Belgian last played in the 2-0 League Cup fourth-round win over Fulham on Nov. 1.

Meanwhile, Aguero has sat out the last four games since scoring in the 2-2 Champions League draw with Lyon on Nov. 27. Despite his own fitness issues, the 30-year-old Argentine has scored 12 goals in 17 appearances this term.

Guardiola also provided an update on the condition of center-back John Stones, who was substituted against Hoffenheim in midweek.

"Yesterday, he was in treatment. Today, he is training," Guardiola said. "We will see how they feel because when you have just 60 hours of recovery (it is difficult). We will see."

Seeing any of the three players return to action would be a big boost to City, who are experiencing something of a small injury crisis. David Silva, Danilo, Benjamin Mendy, and Claudio Bravo are also currently sidelined.
