Manchester United academy player Shola Shoretire, 14, made history Wednesday by becoming the youngest player to feature in a UEFA Youth League match.
The winger came on as a substitute with 15 minutes remaining as United produced a 2-1 victory over Valencia.
At 14 years and 314 days, Shoretire surpassed former record-holder Mile Svilar. Last season, Svilar, aged 18 years and 65 days, became the youngest goalkeeper to appear in a Champions League match when he featured for Benfica and stopped a penalty against United.
Along with Shoretire, Harvey Neville, the son of former United midfielder and current England women's manager Phil Neville, also made his debut for Nicky Butt's Under-19 team on Wednesday.
