West Ham United are reviewing the terms of their offer to free agent Samir Nasri after expressing doubts over the 31-year-old's fitness, according to The Telegraph's Jason Burt.

It was reported earlier on Monday that Nasri - whose ban from football for an anti-doping violation expires on Dec. 31 - had agreed to join West Ham on an initial six-month contract. The Hammers were reportedly preparing to pay the former Manchester City and Arsenal midfielder around £80,000 a week, but it's now unclear whether they're willing to hand such a lucrative contract to an unfit player.

West Ham apparently have reservations about the time it could take for Nasri to get into shape, leading Burt to believe the east London side will offer a new contract structured heavily around performance-related bonuses.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini, who coached Nasri at City for three seasons, is still reportedly interested in signing his former pupil.

Nasri was banned in February from all football activities for using an intravenous drip treatment during his time on loan at Sevilla in 2016.
