Report: Bailly to consider United future if playing time doesn't increase

Eric Bailly is giving himself until the end of the season before deciding whether to move on from Manchester United.

The center-back is said to be considering his future at the club after being restricted to just three Premier League appearances following a campaign in which he appeared in only 15 matches in all competitions, according to Rob Dawson of ESPN FC.

Rather than force a move in January, Bailly is determined to prove he's worthy of a regular place in manager Jose Mourinho's first team.

Arsenal and Tottenham are believed to be interested in the 24-year-old's services, but United likely won't sell Bailly to a Premier League rival, and will reportedly only move him if he makes it clear he wants to leave the club.

His future at United was also uncertain during the summer when Mourinho was eager to add a central defender to the ranks, which would have likely meant Bailly would slide down the pecking order.

Bailly's last appearance ended prematurely when he was removed from last weekend's match against Newcastle United after just 19 minutes and his side going down by two goals. It was a defensive adjustment that produced a positive result, as Mourinho's men went on to secure a 3-2 victory to end their four-match winless streak.
