Liverpool made it two wins from two on Monday, defeating Crystal Palace 2-0 and leaving them as the only club yet to concede a goal this season.

James Milner opened the scoring with a penalty shortly before halftime after ex-Reds defender Mamadou Sakho was adjudged to have fouled Mohamed Salah in the box.

After a lively second half, Sadio Mane sealed the win in stoppage time after a typically devastating counterattack between the Senegal star and Salah ended in Mane holding off Patrick van Aanholt to round Wayne Hennessey and tap home.

Summer signing Alisson made smart saves from a Luka Milivojevic free-kick and Christian Benteke's header to record a second successive clean sheet to begin life in England.
