Report: Chelsea adds West Ham's Arnautovic to list of targets
Chelsea's desperate attempt to boost its attack could lead to yet another unexpected pursuit.
It's understood that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is eager to add a proper "target man" to his attacking unit, and is weighing a move to sign West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic, according to Pete O'Rourke of ESPN FC.
Arnautovic is less than a year into the five-year contract he signed last summer when he made the switch from Stoke City in a deal reportedly worth £25 million.
The 28-year-old has found the back of the net six times and created three assists in 19 Premier League appearances this term.
Alleged interest in the Austria international follows a period of reports suggesting Chelsea considered similar deals for forwards such as Arnautovic's West Ham teammate Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch of Stoke City, and Christian Benteke of Crystal Palace.
However, it appears that Edin Dzeko is at the top of the club's wish list following a report Sunday that Chelsea offered Roma a combined £44 million fee for the Bosnian forward and Emerson Palmieri.
