6 stats that suggest Tottenham could end Manchester City's historic run

Undefeated Manchester City welcomes Tottenham to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, and a fixture that once appeared on paper as a balanced affair now heavily favours the red-hot hosts.

Pep Guardiola's charges are on a Premier League-record 15 match winning streak as they look to replicate Arsenal's "Invincibles" standard, though if there's one side that has had City's number of late, it's Tottenham.

Even so, Spurs will be without three key defensive-minded members of Mauricio Pochettino's starting XI, and in the absence of Toby Alderweireld (hamstring), Davinson Sanchez (suspension), and Victor Wanyama (knee), the north London lot will have to search elsewhere for the trademark toughness that could stop City's runaway train.

While form may not favour high-pressing Spurs, history is on their side. Ahead of the weekend's marquee clash, here's a glance at six statistics that could facilitate City's maiden league loss of the season:

1: Under Pochettino, Spurs have been quite poor away from home against the Premier League's top six sides, with just one win in 17 tries, though that one victory did come last season against - you guessed it - City.

2: Tottenham has made a habit of snapping stellar streaks. First, Pochettino and Co. ended City's perfect start to the season last year before halting Chelsea's run of 13 victories on the bounce in January.

4: Manchester City is without a victory in its last four league tilts (D1, L3) with Tottenham since a quartet of consecutive wins between November 2013 and May 2015, meaning the hosts have never beaten a Pochettino-led Spurs.

9: Heung-min Son has been Tottenham's in-form player, with the South Korean international involved in nine goals in his last 11 appearances for the club (six goals, three assists).

10: Tottenham has won 10 Premier League matches at City, more than it has managed against any other side in England's top flight.

1953-54: The last time a team in England's top-flight beat Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham in the same season was in 1953-54, when both West Brom and Wolves managed the feat.
