Manchester United will reportedly renew their efforts to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho and Leicester City midfielder James Maddison when the transfer window opens next summer, according to Rob Dawson of ESPN FC.

The pair top United's transfer list, as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to continue to recruit young British talent, Dawson reports.

Sancho is fresh off signing a new long-term contract at Borussia Dortmund, so the 19-year-old winger's value could eclipse the £80 million to £90 million that Der BVB reportedly demanded in May, especially if he continues to perform this season.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc revealed last Wednesday that United contacted Sancho's representatives during the summer. However, the Premier League side abandoned its pursuit after being told he wasn't for sale at any price.

Sancho, who scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists last season, is enjoying a blistering start to the new campaign, scoring twice and setting up four in Dortmund's opening four Bundesliga matches.

United would also have to table a significant offer to convince Leicester City to sell Maddison, another one of their stars, after the two sides agreed to an £80-million transfer for Harry Maguire last summer. Dawson reports the Red Devils expect the Foxes to demand a fee between £70 million and £80 million.

Maddison, who joined Leicester from Norwich City for £20 million in 2018, was reportedly being targeted by United shortly after last season concluded.

Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, and Stoke City defender Nathan Collins are other names that Dawson suggests United will consider next summer.
