Petr Cech: Concedes one in loss
Cech made four saves while conceding one goal in Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.
Analysis:
Playing against his former club, Cech was faced with an undermanned side for more than 70 minutes and a disorganized back line thanks to the sending off of Per Mertesacker. Poor positioning by the two center backs—Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel—afforded Diego Costa a gilt-edged chance that a striker of his caliber simply couldn't miss. Cech was strong throughout, even running up the pitch to provide an extra man in the box for the final corner of the match, but the Gunners walked away with no points against their fierce rival once again. After an FA Cup match next weekend, the Gunners will look for redemption against Southampton in their next Premier League fixture, who defeated them 4-0 on Boxing Day.
