David De Gea did everything right, and it still didn't work out for him. Such is sports.
The Manchester United shot-stopper made a superb reflex save in the opening half of the Red Devils' Champions League contest against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, diving to his left to thwart Roman Eremenko's penalty.
There was only one problem: Seydou Doumbia was the quickest to react to the ball careening back into the penalty area, and promptly slotted it home beyond the unfortunate Spaniard.
His exasperated facial expression said it all.
Pour one out for him.
