There were never any doubts over whether or not Spain would qualify for Euro 2016, particularly as the competition marks the first time the European Championship will feature a record-high 24 national teams.
That said, "La Furia Roja" still had to do the dirty work.
In a qualifier that marked its 150th fixture pertaining to the European Championship, Spain sleepwalked to a 4-0 victory over Luxembourg on Friday and secured its place at Euro 2016.
The festive occasion was marred by a pair of early injuries, as David Silva limped off the pitch in the ninth minute with a reported sprained ankle ligament, while Alvaro Morata required a stretcher after suffering a reported "traumatic injury to his right calf muscle" on the half-hour mark.
It was all uphill from there, however.
Santi Cazorla tallied a brace that was sandwiched between another brace from Paco Alcacer, and Iker Casillas registered a clean sheet that left Spain with the second-longest run without conceding a competitive goal.
See you at Euro 2016, Spain.
