The stage may be set for Wales to host the biggest club match in European football by the time the 2017 Champions League final rolls around.
The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff is expected to be named the venue for the 2017 final. The official announcement is expected Monday, according to the BBC.
The stadium, which opened in 1999, is home to the Welsh national football team and the country's national rugby squad.
It appears to be a nice consolation prize for the country after the 74,500-seat stadium missed out on a chance to host matches during the 2020 European Championship, which will be hosted in 13 venues throughout the continent.
