Bayern Munich 'the most superior team' in the Champions League, says Muller
Bayern Munich, good. Everyone else, not as good.
That's the simple message from Thomas Muller, who says that, based on what he's seen thus far, his team is the best remaining in the Champions League.
The draw for the quarterfinals will be made Friday in Nyon, Switzerland, and the versatile attacker believes his team will be the one whom the seven other sides still alive in the competition will want to avoid.
"We were strong in the group phase and put down a marker in the last 16 which certainly made all the other teams sit up and take notice," the 25-year-old said. "From what I have seen so far, we are the most superior team in the Champions League this season."
Barcelona may have something to say about that, but on the basis of his argument, it's difficult to disagree with him.
The German champions have steamrolled their way through the competition thus far, and are coming off a complete and utter annihilation of Shakhtar Donetsk in the Round of 16, where they blew out the Ukrainian side 7-0 in the second leg.
