Juventus came away with a 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the opening leg of their round-of-16 tie on Tuesday, but the victory was costly.
Midfielder Andrea Pirlo left the match in the 36th minute, and manager Massimiliano Allegri confirmed after the final whistle that the veteran was felled by a calf problem that will require further testing.
The Bianconeri do not take to the pitch again until March 2, when they engage in a top-of-the-table clash against second-placed Roma, who sit nine points back at the summit of the Serie A table.
