Schalke will be hoping for some good news from the local hospital, as the club confirmed that striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was taken to hospital to undergo an examination after suffering a lower-leg injury in Wednesday's Champions League match against Real Madrid.

The Dutchman lasted only 33 minutes in Wednesday's first-leg contest at the Veltins-Arena, leaving the pitch and heading straight down the tunnel before being taken for the aforementioned examinations on his right leg.
