PHOTOS: Twitter has fun with David Luiz's tampering of free-kick spray

Reuters

David Luiz was the undisputed Twitter star of Tuesday's match between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, with his role as a central midfielder, his lack of defensive wherewithal for the Blues' goal, and his subsequent redemption to be one of the better players on the pitch all getting plenty of play across the Interwebs.

But nothing generated the same buzz online as his slick (read: illegal) decision to wipe away the referee's vanishing spray ahead of a free-kick and allow teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic to place the ball in a more favorable position.

Naturally, the Internet went to work and produced some memes that will ensure you don't have to do those sit-ups before bed tonight.
