Porto crushes BATE Borisov 3-0, result sees Shakhtar Donetsk advance to Round of 16

Shakhtar Donetsk will likely be sending FC Porto a Christmas card next month.
The Ukrainian side secured qualification into the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday, and they did so without having to actually play a match of their own.
Porto cruised to a 3-0 win over BATE Borisov in one of two early matches on the day. The perennial Portuguese powerhouse got goals from Hector Herrera, Jackson Martinez and Cristian Tello in the routine win - a result that sees BATE eliminated from contention and puts Shakhtar into the next stage.
Mircea Lucescu's men play Athletic Bilbao today in a match that will determine whether Shakhtar still have a chance at top spot in Group H, or if they will have to settle for second place.
