Manchester City manager confirms Frank Lampard's availability for weekend match
Frank Lampard will be available for selection for Manchester City's match against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday after recovering from a thigh injury.
Pellegrini confirmed the news Friday after announcing a trio of City players would miss the encounter through injury.
Lampard originally expected to be available for the team's Champions League loss against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, but Manchester City took a cautious approach to avoid aggravating the muscle injury.
He has not appeared in a match since injuring the thigh Oct. 18 during a match against Tottenham, and it's unclear whether he will participate in this weekend's match.
Lampard's availability comes at a crucial time for the struggling Citizens after midfielder David Silva and defenders Vincent Kompany and Aleksandar Kolarov were ruled out of the fixture against QPR with injuries.
