It took 36 minutes for Lionel Messi to score against Ajax on Wednesday and draw level with Cristiano Ronaldo as the Champions League's second top all-time scorer.
After Ajax 'keeper Jasper Cillessen inexplicably wandered away from goal and failed to catch a bouncing ball, Marc Bartra capitalized on the mistake and crossed the ball over to Messi, who had no trouble heading the Catalan club into the lead.

It's not often Messi scores with his head, but it does happen once in a while.
The Argentine phenom, along with Ronaldo, is now only goal away from equaling Raul's record of 71 career Champions League goals.
