Carlo Ancelotti says Ronaldo and Bale should be 'completely fit' for Champions League final
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti had some encouraging news regarding the health of wingers Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale on Monday, saying that the injured duo should be fully fit come the Champions League final later this month.
Both men sat out this past weekend's 2-0 loss to Celta Vigo, the Portuguese star with "muscular fatigue" and his Welsh counterpart with what has only been described as a "knock" by the club.
Per ESPN, Ancelotti said the two men have responded well to their respective treatments, and may even feature in the final La Liga match of the season this weekend.
"Ronaldo underwent treatment this morning and is almost fully recovered," he said. "We have a fortnight to prepare for the match and I think they'll be completely fit for the final. I think he'll be able to play against Espanyol [next Saturday]."
Ronaldo and Bale have combined for 21 goals and 7 assists in the Champions League this season, and it goes without saying that their involvement in the contest would be a monumental boost for the club.
