VIDEO: Russia and Azerbaijan re-enact a scene from The Simpsons

Russian and Azerbaijan played to a 1-1 draw in Baku last night, a result that ensured Fabio Capello and the Russians top spot in Group F and an automatic berth at the 2014 World Cup.

Russia went into the contest knowing that a draw would be enough to beat out Portugal for top spot in the group, and took an early lead through midfielder Roman Shirokov.

The home side made things interesting with a 90th minute equalizer, and could have really made Capello and co. sweat had they pushed for an unlikely winner.

Instead, Azerbaijan seemed perfectly happy to let the result stand as they made no attempt to win the ball back in the final minutes of injury time.
