Ancelotti speaks on keeping Iker Casillas out of the starting XI

It's not an easy choice for Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, but it has to be made. 

In an interview with L'Equipe, Ancelotti refused to allow 'history' to dictate his decisions. That means starting the inform Diego Lopez over Casillas. "Yes, it's hard, because it's always hard to leave a player on the bench, and it's all the more so when the player is called Iker Casillas, but not for the history that he represents. History never gives you the chance to play." 

Real Madrid opens their Champions League campaign away in Istanbul versus Galatasaray later today.
