Leroy Sane set the tone for things to come after his gorgeous goal gave Bayern Munich an early lead in Tuesday's 5-0 Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen.
The Czech underdogs could barely make it seven minutes before Bayern jumped out in front, as an unmarked Sane marched toward the penalty area before bulging the back of the Plzen net with a powerful strike to kick off a dominating first half.
Sane's stunner was followed by goals from Serge Gnabry and Sadio Mane to give Bayern a comfortable 3-0 halftime lead. Sane added another tally in the second stanza before Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting capped the rout.
