PSV's Lozano hopes to play for 'big' Premier League club
PSV Eindhoven forward Hirving Lozano has set his sights on playing in the Premier League, saying that he would prefer to represent one of England's elite clubs in the future.
"I hope that God, someday, gives me a shot at playing in the Premier League," Lozano told ESPN FC after PSV's Champions League defeat against Tottenham on Tuesday. "I like it very much."
The 23-year-old was one of the breakout stars at the World Cup this past summer, scoring the winning goal in Mexico's shocking 1-0 win over Germany, and was previously linked with Manchester United before joining PSV in 2017.
"I think the Premier League is great," Lozano said. "I think that it would be fabulous to play with any of the clubs, but I would love to play for one of the big clubs. I hope that God gives me the chance."
According to his father, Lozano - nicknamed "Chucky" - also attracted interest from Barcelona during the World Cup.
He has continued to perform at an elite level this term, finding the back of the net eight times in 11 league appearances.
