Lionel Messi made history Tuesday by becoming the first player ever to score eight hat-tricks in the Champions League after lifting Barcelona to a 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven at the Camp Nou.
The Argentine opened the scoring with a superb free-kick before Ousmane Dembele's solo effort doubled Barcelona's lead.
Messi's second came by way of a curler after receiving Ivan Rakitic's perfect lob in the box.
He capped the night off by surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo for most Champions League hat-tricks with a right-footed strike in the 87th minute.
Barcelona's next Champions League test will be in north London when Tottenham, who lost their opener away to Inter, welcome Messi and Co. to Wembley Stadium.
