Juventus is on the verge of completing the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid after agreeing to a €100-million fee, according to Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano.

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli reportedly flew to Greece, where Ronaldo is vacationing, to meet with the 33-year-old and finalise personal terms at €30 million a season.

A total agreement was reached after Madrid president Florentino Perez accepted Juventus' offer.

Rumours of a move began to pick up steam at the beginning of the month. Juventus made tentative enquiries before receiving permission from the controlling Agnelli family to proceed with the pricey deal.

Di Marzio previously reported that the total cost of the arrangement, including fees, taxes, and wages, would reach €400 million.

Ronaldo will now eclipse Gonzalo Higuain as Juventus' record signing. The Argentinian arrived in 2016 from Napoli for a reported €90 million.

Ronaldo spent nine successful seasons with Los Blancos, winning the Champions League four times and La Liga twice. He also became the club's all-time record scorer with 451 goals in all competitions.
