Mile Svilar is getting a chance to prove his worth in the Champions League.
Svilar, who's 18 years and 52 days old, became the youngest-ever goalkeeper to play in the Champions League on Wednesday, as the Belgian took the pitch in SL Benfica's match versus Manchester United in the group stage.
The previous record was held by Iker Casillas, who debuted in the Champions League in 1999 at 18 years and 118 days as Real Madrid and Olympaicos played out a 3-3 draw in the group stage.
According to the Guardian, Svilar joined Benfica from RSC Anderlecht for €2.7 million. His father, Rakto Svilar, who was a 'keeper at Royal Antwerp, said Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal were also interested in signing his son.
