Zinedine Zidane can do no wrong.

On the heels of winning his second Champions League title as Real Madrid manager, Zidane might not have to worry about job security for the foreseeable future after club president Florentino Perez declared the managerial job is his "for life."

"Zidane can stay at Real Madrid for the rest of his life," Perez said in jest during a radio interview with Cadena Ser, as translated by Reuters.

"Every Real Madrid fan is so grateful to him, he lifted our level of talent when he arrived in 2001 and was the best player in the world."

The club captured its 12th title in the competition after putting together a decisive performance and coming away with a 4-1 victory over Italian champion Juventus.

It was Real's second major trophy of the season after winning La Liga for the first time since 2012.

Zidane won his first European title when his stunning volley against Bayer Leverkusen at Hampden Park secured Real Madrid's ninth Champions League crown in 2002 before winning it again as an assistant under Carlo Ancelotti in 2014 when Los Blancos won La Decima.

Although Zidane appreciated the support, he wasn't willing to commit to Perez's emotional offer.

"I can't say whether I'll stay for the rest of my life but I'm so grateful for the club for everything it has given me," Zidane said.

"I played here for a long time and I feel part of the furniture. I'm also lucky to be part of this club and with this squad. Every player in the squad has played their part, and that's been the key factor this season."
