Bayern trolls Arsenal: Should we book our trip to London?
Arsenal may have claimed top spot in the group stage, but that doesn't eliminate the chances of running into an old Champions League foe in the Round of 16.
Arsenal's victory over Basel on Wednesday, combined with Paris Saint-Germain's draw with Ludogorets, ensured that the north London side finishes in first place in their group for the first time since the 2011-12 Champions League campaign.
While Arsenal fans will be surely be hoping for an easy draw, the threat of being paired with Bayern Munich, again, looms after the German side finished behind Atletico Madrid in Group D.
So, after clashing with one another six times over the past three years in the group and knockout stages, the German side is gearing up for a trip to England's capital:
Although Arsenal has been eliminated from the competition on two occasions after facing Bayern, the Premier League side can take solace in the fact that victory against German giants is not an impossible proposition - the Gunners have won two and drawn one in their last six matches.
