Arsenal's Danny Welbeck: Return date pushed back
Welbeck could return from his long-term knee injury in January, manager Arsene Wenger said on Friday.
Analysis:
There was some optimism back in August that Welbeck would be able to return before the end of the calendar year, but it appears that's out of the question now. Additionally, because he's been out for so long, it'll take some time to work up his match fitness after he's recovered from the injury. With Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez available to play up front when fit, it's tough to see how Welbeck will get considerable playing time to make a fantasy impact.
