Arsenal's Mesut Ozil: Expected to face Swansea
Ozil is expected to be available for Saturday's match against Swansea City despite leaving Germany's World Cup qualifier earlier this week at halftime. "He told us he's completely fit," manager Arsene Wenger said on Thursday. "We'll see that today [Thursday], if we have no bad news today. I see him later. I expect him to be available, especially because he's only played one half, so he doesn't need to be rested on Saturday."
Analysis:
Ozil's absence would certainly be a hit to the Arsenal midfield, especially since they will continue to be without Aaron Ramsey (thigh). However, if he trains well enough Thursday and Friday, he should take his regular spot in the starting XI against a Swansea side that has struggled this season and will be playing their first game under new manager Bob Bradley.
