Villarreal's Roberto Soldado: Out six months with torn ACL
Soldado has suffered a tear in his anterior cruciate ligament which will sideline him for at least about six months, ESPN FC reports.
Analysis:
This is a major blow both for Villarreal and Soldado. The 31-year-old striker just started to regain his form last season and now he may miss the better part of this year's campaign. The injury-dreaded Villarreal are now left with only one healthy striker. The new signing - Alexandre Pato will be the biggest beneficiary, at least for the first few weeks, of Soldado's blow.
