Chelsea's John Terry: Signs on with Chelsea for 2016-17 season
Terry formally signed a one-year contract with Chelsea on Wednesday, ESPN FC reports.
Analysis:
The Chelsea captain previously suggested in January that he'd look for new employment in the summer after the club told him a contract extension wasn't on the table, but the two sides apparently were able to find common ground after reengaging in negotiations. Terry, who has been with the Blues for the last 18 seasons, will likely serve in even more of a mentoring capacity in 2016-17, as he's not expected to be a regular starter for Chelsea.
