Ronaldo to travel with Real Madrid ahead of Manchester City clash
Cristiano Ronaldo will travel with his Real Madrid teammates to Manchester for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Manchester City, according to manager Zinedine Zidane.
Ronaldo didn't participate in Saturday's 3-2 win at Rayo Vallecano after suffering a thigh injury in midweek La Liga action. His status for the European encounter on Tuesday remains unknown, but Zidane will give the Portuguese star the chance to pass a late fitness test.
Karim Benzema sustained a muscular problem of his own during the match, with the Frenchman set to undergo tests on Sunday.
Ronaldo has started in all 10 of Madrid's Champions League matches this term, scoring 16 goals in the competition. He is just one tally shy of his own record in the continent's premier tournament.
