Rabiot comes back to haunt Manchester City
The immutable law of the ex strikes again.
Adrien Rabiot - who spent six months with Manchester City's youth setup when he was 13 years old - came back to haunt the club he once represented in Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final contest.
With the first-leg match at the Parc des Prince knotted at one apiece in the second half, the young French midfielder put Paris Saint-Germain ahead when he pounced on a rebound inside the City penalty area.
Rabiot. Manchester City signed him as a 13 year old, back in 2008, on a six year deal. He left after six months. Came back to haunt them...

As noted by the Guardian, Rabiot's mother played a significant role in the now 21-year-old's departure from the English club.
Veronique Rabiot has said she pulled her son out of City’s academy after six months in 2008 because she felt the club were not looking after his interests as well as they should have, though others have spoken of homesickness. She has remained a major influence on his career ever since, so much so that in recent years parody websites in France have had fun exaggerating the demands she regularly makes of her son’s employers on his behalf, and the recurring vows that he will leave PSG if he does not play as often as she wishes.
Things seem to be going just fine in the French capital for Rabiot, much to the dismay of Manchester City, one would think.
