Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols won't return to Friday's game against the Ottawa Redblacks after suffering an apparent head/neck injury in the third quarter.
Nichols suffered the injury when he took a big hit from Redblacks linebacker Kevin Brown following an 18-yard run.
The veteran passer ended the night 16 of 20 for 262 yards and a touchdown, guiding the Bombers to a 22-4 lead before being replaced by Chris Streveler.
Winnipeg also lost receiver Chris Matthews to injury during the first half of the contest between the two previously unbeaten teams.
