Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols will make his season debut Saturday versus the BC Lions after missing three games due to a knee injury, head coach Mike O'Shea announced Thursday, via Ed Tait of bluebombers.com.
Nichols went down with the injury in practice June 6 and was expected to spend four-to-six weeks on the shelf. The Bombers went 1-2 without him.
The 31-year-old Nichols passed for 4,472 yards with 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season.
