Manziel: Joining CFL in 2018 'definitely still on the table'
More than a week after his agent's deadline for contract negotiations with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and more than a month after the CFL club offered him a deal, quarterback Johnny Manziel still isn't ruling out playing in Canada in 2018.
"It's definitely still on the table," Manziel said recently on the "Pardon My Take" podcast. "I feel like, as with anything, it takes a little bit of time. The season just ended for the NFL, the CFL ended a couple months before. We're just taking some time and not rushing into anything and making sure everything is the right fit."

The Tiger-Cats still own Manziel's rights, with January's contract offer keeping him on the 45-man negotiation list.
