The Hamilton Tiger-Cats took care of business on the road Sunday and avoided last place in the league standings in the process, defeating the Montreal Alouettes by a score of 43-16 in Percival Molson Memorial Stadium.

Jeremiah Masoli led the charge for the victorious Tiger-Cats with an impressive 19-of-28 passing performance for 320 and a pair of touchdowns. Wide receiver Brandon Banks led all receivers with 129 yards on six receptions, one of which coming on a 65-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter.

Matt Shiltz and Darian Durant both saw time under centre for the Alouettes, with Durant recording the team's lone passing touchdown to Ernest Jackson to take a 7-3 lead at the time.

Tiger-Cats kicker Kenny Allen proved a vital asset for his team in just his second career CFL game, connecting on all five of his field-goal attempts with his longest coming from 48 yards.

The Tiger-Cats will look to build off of Sunday's win next week as the team travels to take on the Ottawa RedBlacks on Oct. 27. The Alouettes will hit the road for a matchup that day as well, squaring off against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
