The Toronto Argonauts are on top of the East Division at 5-7, and they'll have the peak to themselves until at least the end of the Ottawa RedBlacks' game Sunday.

The Argos used a 17-point second quarter to propel them to a 34-26 win over the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday. It was the Eskimos' fifth consecutive loss.

Argonauts running back James Wilder Jr. needed just 11 carries to rack up 190 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also caught seven passes for another 67 yards receiving.

Quarterback Ricky Ray went 22-for-32 through the air, finishing with a modest 224 yards passing and a touchdown.

Mike Reilly went 23-for-36 for 323 passing yards and two touchdowns on the day for the Eskimos. Running back Travon Van wasn't able to muster much on the ground, gaining just 29 yards on seven carries, but did manage to find the end zone for rushing and receiving scores.

Both Derel Walker and Bryant Mitchell finished with 90 receiving yards for the Eskimos, though neither was able to score.

The Argonauts hold a one-point lead over the RedBlacks. Ottawa visits the Montreal Alouettes on Sunday, but the Argonauts will still have a game in hand.

After starting the season 7-0, the Eskimos remain third in the West.
