It took some late heroics, but the Calgary Stampeders kept their winning streak alive Saturday night, extending it to seven games with a 25-22 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos.

Led by quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, the Stamps went from their own 40-yard line to the opposing end zone in under a minute to score the go-ahead touchdown with 39 seconds remaining on the clock. Mitchell hooked up with Marquay McDaniel on a 5-yard touchdown for the winning score.

The Eskimos had a chance to force overtime, but Chris Milo missed a 46-yard field goal attempt that would've tied the game.

The win improved Calgary's record to 9-1-1 for the season, good for top spot in the West Division standings. Edmonton suffered its fourth straight loss, dropping to 7-4, but still sits in third place.

Though Mitchell came through in the clutch, he was contained by the Eskimos for most of the night. He finished the contest 21-of-36 with 272 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

Mike Reilly posted larger numbers, albeit in a losing effort, going 37-of-47 for 461 yards with a touchdown and a pick for the Eskimos.

After rejoining the Eskimos on Wednesday following his release from the NFL, Edmonton receiver Derel Walker recorded eight catches for 93 yards. He also had one carry for two yards and a touchdown.
