An injury to starting quarterback Travis Lulay did little to slow the BC Lions on Friday night, as the West Division club notched a 41-18 home win over the Montreal Alouettes.

Lulay went down with a leg injury on the second play from scrimmage and didn't return, thrusting Jonathon Jennings back into the lead role - where he began the season before being lifted for Lulay.

Jennings was exceptional in his extended return to the huddle, going 22-of-29 for 295 yards and two touchdowns. He completed at least one pass to seven different targets, including Emmanuel Arceneaux, who had six catches for a game-high 108 yards plus a score.

The picture wasn't nearly as pretty for the Alouettes, who continue to slide following a manageable start to the year. They've now dropped four straight, though quarterback Darian Durant at least bounced back from last week's miserable showing with a 20-for-28 performance with 258 yards and a touchdown against the Lions.

Still, most of his production came in garbage time, which came early thanks to a dominant first half by the Lions. BC outscored Montreal 8-0 in the first quarter, and went into halftime with a 26-3 advantage, before coasting to victory after the break.

The Lions now own a 6-5 record for the season. The Als are 3-8, but still sit in a playoff position in the East Division.
