Ricky Ray is back.

The veteran gunslinger appears ready to make his return to the gridiron as the Toronto Argonauts confirmed Friday that Ray is listed as the starting quarterback for Saturday's matchup with the Montreal Alouettes.

Ray has been out of action since being forced to leave the Argonauts game against the Calgary Stampeders on Aug. 3 with a separated AC joint in his shoulder. The original prognosis was that Ray would be forced to miss four-to-six weeks, but it appears the 37-year-old is ready to go after missing just one full game.

Ray had been enjoying a productive season up until his injury, completing 199-of-292 passes for 2,421 yards and 10 touchdowns to just four interceptions.

A win over the Alouettes on Saturday would vault the Argonauts into sole possession of first place in the East Division.
