Eskimos down Tiger-Cats to remain undefeated

The Edmonton Eskimos and Hamilton Tiger-Cats continue to go in opposite directions.

Edmonton knocked off Hamilton 33-28 on Friday night to move to a perfect 6-0. Kent Austin and Co. were at least more competitive than in last week's brutal 60-1 loss to the Calgary Stampeders but remain winless on the season.

Hamilton trailed by as many as 15 points in the third quarter and despite a valiant effort, couldn't complete the comeback, as Zach Collaros' throw to the end zone on the game's final play failed to connect.

The Eskimos were powered by quarterback Mike Reilly, who threw for 317 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Reilly has now thrown for 300 yards in four of six games this season.

Edmonton running back LaDarius Perkins chipped in with 105 yards on the ground, while wideout Bryant Mitchell added 121 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Collaros posted his most productive game of the season, albeit in a losing cause. The Hamilton signal-caller threw for 282 yards and three scores.

The Eskimos will try to remain perfect when they clash with the Ottawa RedBlacks next week, while Hamilton hosts the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in hopes of collecting that elusive first win.
