Roughriders' Vince Young suffers hamstring injury in practice

This is not how Vince Young hoped to start his comeback.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback went down with a hamstring injury at practice Tuesday, according to Ian Hamilton of the team's official website. The severity of the ailment remains unclear, but Hamilton reports Young was able to leave the field under his own power.

The 34-year-old is the second quarterback to be hurt this preseason after Montreal Alouettes pivot Darian Durant injured his leg last week, although an MRI later revealed no significant damage.

Young last appeared in an NFL game in 2011 with the Philadelphia Eagles, and is now attempting a comeback in Canada. First, he'll have to win a quarterback competition that features veteran Kevin Glenn and former North Carolina standout Marquise Williams.
