Raul Bobadilla's late goal saves Augsburg's Europa League campaign

Knowing that a victory by a margin of two goals of more - with the exception of a 2-0 win - would secure its place in the knockout phase of the Europa League, Augsburg did just that at Partizan on Thursday, in the most dramatic fashion imaginable.

Entering the 89th minute of the match, Augsburg held a 2-1 lead that would have spelled the end of its first-ever European adventure. However, to the shock and awe of the Serbian supporters in attendance, Raul Bobadilla scored a late goal to silence Partizan Stadium, and punch Augsburg's ticket to the spring stage of the Europa League by virtue of overall goal difference.

There was also drama in the stands, as Partizan's Grobari ultras stole some flags belonging to Augsburg's fans.

Those flags, however, will be of little consolation to most Partizan supporters.
